Elmdale and the Low

Had an awesome time at Elmdale House Tavern last night to see the Lowest of the Low.  They're on a tour for the 20th Anniversary re-release of their debut album Shakespeare My Butt.  For those of you who don't know them the band consists of Ron Hawkins (vocals, guitar) Stephen Stanley (guitar, vocals) David Alexander (drums) and my good friend Dylan Parker (bass).  Dylan may dispute this fact but he knows it's true.

They are putting together some video clips of the anniversary tour and asked me to man the camera last night.  It was a great crowd and the band was amazing.  This was the first time I've been to the Elmdale and I had a blast.

APT613

I must say, I LOVE APT613!
They have another post up about the OIFF Video Challenge, in which they mention the winner, and the Third Place Winner... me.  It's a nice write up and also has some info about the Weathermakers and their upcoming CD Release, which is Cool.  There is more to the article than my little whatever here, so please go and read it on the Apt613 site.

Third Place, Third Place, Third Place!

Had a Blast at the OIFF Video Challenge last night.  There were some great music videos in the competition and I was lucky enough to be one of the winners.  Third Place to be exact!  Thanks everyone that came out and made it such a fun evening.  I'm Awesome!

They didn't have a plaque for 3rd place so a couple of the judges made one up for me.  My "official" plaque is in the mail.  The OIFF did a great job in organizing this first annual Film Festival, and I can't wait for next year.

One More Sleep

I'm looking forward to the OIFF Video Challenge tomorrow Aug 20th 6:30 to 9:30 at the The Lieutenant's Pump. The evening costs $10 (or is included in the $25 OIFF Festival Pass) and can be bought at the Jack Purcell Community Centre and hopefully at the Pump (they're not sure if they will have tickets tomorrow or not).  I hope everyone can make it down.

I want to thank everyone who has supported and encouraged me to keep working in film. It means a lot and I'm excited to be screening at a festival.  If you make it out tomorrow or not, thanks, and check out The Weathermakers (an Incredible Band) and the video online.  I look forward to their next show.  Natasha, Matt, Nina and Chuck.  Thanks.
